City of Davis Police Headquarters

On this award winning state of the art Police Facility, the Tiburon Group provided project controls and scheduling services.  This project was a 32,000 square foot facility that houses the following functions: Patrol and Investigations staff areas; Administration staff and support areas; Crime Prevention staff and support areas; Information Technology staff and support areas; Garage / Sallyport; Temporary Holding Facilities, juvenile and adults; Interview Rooms; Communications Center / Dispatch and related support areas; Combined Community Meeting Rooms / Emergency Operations Center (EOC); Evidence Storage; Armory / Cleaning ; Emergency Equipment Storage ; Computer Room ; Lockers and Showers ; Weight Room / Physical Training ; and Various circulation, mechanical, electrical., and support areas. Site provisions for separate access and parking for each of public visitor, staff, and patrol vehicles.  From a construction perspective the project was particularly interesting as the Design-Build Team was selected based on design competition between pre-qualified Contractor/Design teams of which proposed cost was only one of the selection factors.  The project has won several industry awards for completing three months ahead of schedule and several million dollars under budget.
